Both@hunter_gatherer_chicago and @royaljezebel recently shared this cropped version of one of the glass plate photographs I posted recently. So I thought I might as well share again. @hunter_gatherer_chicago said:

This is a photograph of mine taken with the wet plate collodion process, as a part of my series “Earth Magic.”  This is a glass plate positive.  It’s been floating around Tumblr (sometimes unattributed), so I just wanted to attach my name to it.

This was my first post on Tumblr - December 9, 2010.  I joined Tumblr because I’d seen several of my very early Earth Magic images being posted without attribution.  So here it is, my first cranky post.

Rik Garrett’s Earth Magic explores historical and personal relationships between witchcraft, femininity and nature through a series of images created using the traditional wet plate collodion process.

Shipment of Earth Magic books has been adjusted slightly, with a new date of April 4th. This means that there is still time to place an order to have a book shipped as soon as they are released.
