Rik Garrett →
“ general ne’er-do-well-ing” - I like it!  Thanks! website / Facebook tesouf: Whilst Garrett works with many different mediums I find this one the most interesting. Somehow turning porn into art without simply adjusting it to black and white is quite an achievement. Follow through the link to his website, which is currently displaying four main projects, largely...

Brandon Haney uploaded 13 tracks that we recorded together long distance in 2001-2002.  Total craziness.  Listening now it sounds like a gang of people committing suicide by falling screaming onto someone else’s instruments.

New post on Occult Chicago.  I put together a lot of information regarding Chicago’s “Occult Digest” from the 1920s - 1940s.  I think that a lot of you will find this to be of interest! http://occultchicago.blogspot.com/2012/04/occult-digest.html

rough-sects asked: I know exactly what you mean, after the 3 day workshop there were dozens of the same images done by 5 different photographers. I'm starting small(4x5 pressman with modified double dark, with an old f4.7 ektar) to get the hang of being consistent then plan to move up in formats. Thanks for not being a dick about answering technical questions as I'm sure you know how some artists can be. I...

rough-sects asked: In your experience with collodion do you find it better to use modern lenses or the antique barrels of the time period? I've heard of modern lens coatings effecting exposure with wet plates. I had done a workshop a few years ago but only recently committed to amassing all the goods needed for wet plates. I like to make due with what I have before lusting after new gear, like a brass lens....
